EMPOWER | HEAL | EDUCATE
At Marigold Therapy, we believe that healing is a holistic journey that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. Our approach integrates creative expression as well as the mind-body connection, allowing you to explore the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations.
Embrace the power of creative expression as a way to articulate your experiences and emotions. We offer therapeutic techniques that encourage artistic outlets, that encourage you to communicate your inner world in ways that words often fail to capture. These creative processes not only facilitate self-discovery but also foster resilience and adaptability in facing life's challenges.
Daily stress can feel overwhelming, but through our partnership, you will learn skills to navigate it. By tuning into your body's signals and developing practices that work for you, you'll cultivate a deeper awareness of yourself and what you want out of life. This will empower you to manage stressors, make choices, and enhance your overall well-being.
Join us at Marigold Therapy to explore the benefits of a creative, person-centered approach that prioritizes your growth and healing through the integration of mind, body, and creativity.
Individual Therapy
-
Therapy is a series of conversations and creative activities where you and I will dive into how you are feeling and work to help you feel empowered to state what you want out of life, heal from past experiences and learn skills to take on future struggles. It may seem weird or uncomfortable at first but as we get to know each other those uncomfortable feelings will turn into a mutual respect for each other.
My approach integrates evidence-based practices with various creative approaches such as drawing, painting, music, movement and some play. I find that speaking or using words to communicate often is not enough or the right mode when we don't understand what it is we are feeling or struggling with. Working together to find the approach that works for you we will help you experience and express your yourself, your feeling and work through the past life events that were hurtful.
Sessions are usually 50 minutes and can be done in person or through telehealth.
Professional Training & Partnerships
-
I help people and organizations think differently about how they approach supporting people. I present creative person- centered trainings and workshops to people who value interactive learning and who are looking for a new perspective.
I offer trainings or workshops to community agencies and community groups such as day programs, self advocates, parent support groups, professional organizations, case managers, community residential homes (CRS), mental health facilities, assisted living facilities, and schools.
To give you an idea of what we can create together here are a few topics I have presented in the past. Person-Centered Thinking® training, Positive Behavior Supports, Trauma Informed Supports, Mental Wellness, Informed Choice, Hope & Healing through supportive environments, We are better together-Discovery through conversation, Partnership-Supporting multiple care providers and their roles, Demystifying Wellness, and Crucial Conversations- what gets in the way.
Partnership -When a one time training just isn't enough. You need a partner. Someone who will take the time to get to know you, your agency, your team, or group. I coach teams to incorporate Person-Centered practices and positive behavior supports into daily life activities.
Investing in yourself or your team empowers people to create positive outcomes for everyone. When people have the support they need to try the skills they have learned they feel confident to creatively problem-solve, take risks, and have those important crucial conversations. They become leaders.
I contract with community agencies and community groups such as day programs, self advocates, parent groups, community residential homes (CRS), mental health facilities, assisted living facilities, and schools.
Partnerships are infused with hope. Let me bring hope to you and your team!
Please reach out with questions. Let's create a training, workshop that makes a difference for your group or team.

Many insurance plans cover mental health services. I accept the insurance plans listed below but I recommend that you double-check your insurance benefits prior to an appointment. If you haven't done so already, contact your insurance company to see if we are in-network with your plan and to see what your outpatient mental health benefits are. Understanding your plan benefits will help determine what will be covered under insurance, if you will have a copay, or if you will need to reach a deductible.
Insurance companies I currently work with (does not guarantee coverage):
Optum- (Medica, United Healthcare (UHC))
Medical assistance*
UCare
Blue Cross and Blue Shield
*Please note that I cannot currently accept Medicare unless accompanied by Minnesota MA coverage. Even so, there may be a spend down that you are responsible for.

STANDARD NOTICE
“Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges”
Under the No Surprises Act You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
